Dear YG families and supporters,

We know the past month has been an emotional roller coaster for many people as details have become more concrete about how the possible bond measure may affect our school. Many people, staff included, raised concerns about the plan to co-locate Yujin Gakuen with Kelly Middle School. Many parents and teachers worked hard to ensure the voices from our community would be heard and our concerns would be listened to—and they have been.

After the last school board meeting we have had further conversations that assured us that the board and school district are supporting our school and thinking ahead about our needs.

If the bond measure passes to build a new North Eugene High School, a temporary move to Kelly Middle School will need to take place, but our school district is committed to helping us make the time co-located there a positive one. The district also is putting plans into the bond to ensure funding to provide viable space for our program, both temporarily during construction and afterward for our long-term future.

Change is hard for all of us, but change must occur for progress to happen.

Please stand with us in supporting the school district if this bond goes forward to the voters in the fall. We have an outstanding program and will continue to provide an excellent and positive learning environment for your children.

Sincerely,

Yujin Gakuen Staff
