Dear YG families,
North Eugene High School will have a new school building in a few years, thanks to voters’ approval of the bond measure. The new high school will be constructed at the west end of the school property, where Yujin Gakuen and Corridor are located now, and will open in 2023. The new high school will be a great investment in the North Eugene region, but it will require Yujin Gakuen and Corridor to relocate.
Next summer Yujin Gakuen will move to the Kelly Middle School building, and Corridor will move to the North Eugene High School building. School start and end times will be staggered, so students will not all arrive at the same time. Middle school hours are 9:00 a.m.–3:35 p.m. with 2:35 p.m. early release on Friday. Yujin Gakuen’s current school schedule is 8:30 a.m.–3:00 p.m. with 1:45 p.m. early release on Friday. The other elementary school schedule option is 7:55 a.m.–2:25 p.m., 1:10 p.m. on Friday. The district will make a decision soon about where Yujin Gakuen and Kelly classrooms will be located in the Kelly building. Yujin Gakuen will occupy a contiguous space in the school building, with the YG middle level classrooms in the same area. Two space options are under consideration.
