YG Newsletter – June 3, 2021

Dear friends and families of Yujin Gakuen,

I hope you are all safe and well this week. We had an eventful week: 5th grade students had Outdoor School this week, we had a school board meeting, site council, and an informational meeting for 5th grade parents interested in Kelly Middle School. You may have heard at the last school board meeting that we are planning a “field day” like event on the last Wednesday of the week. Staff have been busy working on the details of the event. We will provide details when we have a final schedule in place.

Thank you again for your patience as we continue to make changes, and thank you for continuing to support Yujin Gakuen.

Last Week of School – June 14 – June 17

There are some important changes in the last week of school. These changes are meant to balance the week’s live instruction so that both cohorts get an equal amount of time in the final week.

Please note the changes below.

Tuesday, June 15 – Cohort B will have its live instructional time instead of on Thursday. Cohort A will have asynchronous instruction, the same schedule they usually have on Thursdays.

Wednesday, June 16 – We are planning to hold an event for students to come to the playground and other areas outside the building. We are still working out the details and the schedule for the day’s activities. Please stay tuned for more information.

Thursday, June 17th: 8:45 – 11:00 am
Grades K – 4 – This day have SEL in the morning and asynchronous work assigned, similar to a Wednesday schedule.
