A Few Key Notes from Kerry Delf

Superintendent selection: If you are interested in participating in the interview process with superintendent finalist candidates, this is your chance. Please volunteer yourself (or nominate someone else) now. More classified staff and administrators are particularly sought. The deadline is this Sunday, April 10.
Suicide prevention: Lane County Public Health is holding a Community Resilience Forum this coming Thursday, April 14, 6:30–7:30 p.m. at the Hilyard Community Center.

• 4J login change: Not in this email, but please be sure to follow up on 4J Technology’s emails about claiming your 4J account with our new RapidIdentity system for managing user accounts and security. All staff are required to complete this action by April 15. As of today more than half of you have responded, but nearly as many staff members have not. If you do not claim your account by April 15, you risk being locked out of applications that require your 4J login credential, including Zimbra, Canvas, Google, Zoom hosting, and more. How to claim your account

April 15th Expectations

Principals still do not have all the details regarding PD requirements for Friday. What I do know is:

  • Japanese teachers will be working with Carl Faslgraf from 9 to noon.
  • English teachers will have should plan on having their PD in the same time frame (9-noon) with a PD session on zoom from 10:30 to 11:30 focusing on Native American Education and the science of reading. The times from 9:00-10:30 and from 11:30-noon will be determined early in the week.
  • Special Education teachers will have their own training from 9:30-10:30.
