Yujin Gakuen Japanese Immersion

Dear friends and families of Yujin Gakuen:

You may have heard that we held recess indoors after lunch and in the afternoon. Wildfire smoke has been affecting air quality in the area. We take our students’ health and safety seriously and closely monitor air quality conditions. We use the following guidelines to determine when it’s safe to send children outside to play.

We use two resource to monitor air quality: airnow.gov and purpleair.com. When the local air quality index reaches 150 or more, we keep students inside and keep the windows and doors closed. For more information see “Air Quality and School Activities” on the 4J website.
