Hello families!

I've had a few requests for items needed next school year and so I'm sending everyone the request lists per grade.  

As always, please let me know if you have questions.  I'll be back early August.

Dear Parents and Guardians,

To ensure every child has the tools they need to succeed, we're reaching out for your support with school supplies.

We understand that purchasing school supplies can sometimes be a challenge, and we want to make it as easy as possible for our families to contribute. There are two ways you can help:

  1. Make a monetary contribution: Write a check for $30, made out to Yujin Gakuen Japanese Immersion Elementary School (here's a link if you would like to make an online donation:

 OR 

  1. Donating specific supplies: Below are items that each grade would need. Anything beyond that is helpful and appreciated. Items might be shared depending on the teacher.


Additionally, we ask that each student comes prepared with the following items: 

  • One large, sturdy backpack

  • Reusable water bottle

  • PE suitable shoes to wear to school on PE days

  • Snacks

  • Shoes that they are able to tie or fasten independently


We understand that every family's circumstances are unique. If you are unable to contribute at this time, please know that your understanding and support in other ways are always valued. There is no obligation to donate, and your child will still receive the supplies they need to succeed.


Kindergarten - Please do not write student name on any supplies. Our classroom supplies are all shared!

  • Ticonderoga #2 Pencils (pre-sharpened preferred)

  • Crayola Crayons, 24 pack

  • Crayola Colored Pencils, 12 pack

  • Crayola Washable Markers (thick), 10 pack

  • Crayola Washable Markers (thin), 8 pack

  • Elmer’s Glue Sticks (we always need more!)

  • Hand sanitizer (non-scented)

  • Kleenex

  • Baby Wipes (non-scented)

  • Disinfecting wipes (non-toxic)

  • Ziploc Bags (gallon, quart, sandwich, snack size)

  • Bandaids (plain)

  • Expo Dry Erase Markers (bullet tip, black, multi-colored pack)

  • Napkins

  • Paper boats (snack size)


1st Grade

  • 12 Ticonderoga #2 Pencils (pre-sharpened preferred)

  • 1 pack Large Pink Erasers 

  • Water color paint set

  • 12 Glue sticks 

  • Crayola Crayons 24 pack

  • 1pack of thin markers, 1 pack of thick tip Crayola Washable markers

  • 2 Kleenex boxes

  • 1 medium size Hand sanitizer 

  • baby wipes (non-toxic and fragrance free)

  • Ziploc bags (gallon & sandwich size)



2nd Grade

  • 2 Kleenex boxes 

  • Elmer’s glue sticks (6)

  • Ziploc Bags (gallon & fold top sandwich bags)

  • 2 packs baby wipes (fragrance free) 

  • 12 Ticonderoga #2 Pencils 

  • 1 pack of 24 count crayons

  • 12 pack of colored pencils 




3rd Grade

  • 2 Boxes of Tissues

  • Coffee Filters/Food Boats (for snacks/art)

  • 1 pack of crayola colored pencils 

  • 1 pack of Washable Markers (fine point Crayola)

  • 36 Ticonderoga Pencils 

  • 1 pack of rectangular erasers

  • 1 pack Elmer’s glue sticks

  • Baby Wipes (fragrance free) 

  • 1 package of Lined paper (Wide Ruled)

  • Ziploc Bags (gallon & sandwich size)


4th Grade

Individual student supplies 

*Please write name on these:

  • 1 box 12 pack Crayons or colored pencils (Crayola)

  • 1 box Washable Markers (fine point Crayola) THIN

  • 1 pencil pouch (student choice)

  • 1 box Ticonderoga #2 Pencils (sharpened) 

The rest of the items are CLASSROOM USE (no names needed)

  • 1 container Hand Sanitizer

  • 1 box Ziploc Bags (either gallon, quart, or Sandwich size)

  • 1 pack eraser tops

  • 1 pack rectangular erasers (Pentel preferred)

  • 1 pack Elmer’s glue sticks

  • 1 wide rule pack of lined paper

  • 2 boxes tissues



5th Grade (Please WRITE students'names on their supplies. )

  • colored pencils

  • Washable Markers

  • Pencil boxes/pouches

  • Wide ruled packet of lined paper 

  • Snacks (will be assigned monthly)

  • 2 Glue sticks

      CLASSROOM USE (no names needed)

  • Kleenex (for CLASS)

  • Hand Sanitizer (for CLASS)

  • 5 Black dry erase markers (for CLASS)

  • 1 box of #2 Pencils & eraser tops (for CLASS)

  • Ziploc Bags (gallon & Sandwich size)-slider please (for CLASS




Special Education: 

  • Tissues/Kleenex 

  • Ziploc Bags (gallon & Sandwich size)

  • Snacks (including some dairy free options) 

  • Unscented baby wipes 

  • Fidgets (any type) 

  • Foot fidget

General Supplies (All Grades Welcome):

  • Reams of copy paper

  • Construction paper all colors

  • Art supplies 

  • Extra headphones

  • 11x17 copy paper

  • Cardstock
